Weirdo's Weekly Update — 20 Feb, 2023

Routines & Habits

As you probably already know, I’m a big fan of a strong morning routine; the important part for me is journaling. Through the last few years, I changed the method and questions a couple of times, but the core is more or less the same.

I see journaling as a part of reflection and self-awareness. It helps me to gain clarity and insight into my life, boosts my creativity, allows me to start my day with a positive attitude, and keeps me accountable for my goals.

It’s really simple. I have three points that I write about and reflect on:

➡️ What am I grateful for today?

➡️ What is my most important task of the day?

➡️ Habits Tracking

Travel Update

On Saturday, we jumped on a 3-flight and migrated from Taipei to Cebu in the Philippines. 🇵🇭 We flew with Starlux, a Taiwanese airline that started operations in 2020. It is a relatively new player, but they offer great high-end service and a modern fleet. The flight was very pleasant.

During our 2-weeks in Cebu, we'll stay close to Ayala Shopping Center. This is an excellent spot, as you have a bunch of restaurants, coffee shops, and everything you need for a quality stay.

We already found a fantastic coffee shop with a name that caught our attention - Misfits. It's located at 368 Tojong St. They have a small menu, mainly offering delicious coffee, tea, and some snacks. The vibe is excellent, bright, and open, with friendly staff and high-speed internet. It will for sure be ours to go place during the time here.

I am currently listening.

Tool of the week

This week’s kudos go to - Grammarly, another great tool without which we can’t imagine our daily work. Grammarly is an online writing assistant that uses artificial intelligence to help produce better, clearer, and more compelling content. It analyzes text for spelling mistakes, grammar errors, stylistic issues, provides suggestions for improvement, and checks your text for plagiarism.

It’s a great companion if you are a digital nomad that works remotely and communicates primarily through written channels. It can help you to share ideas more effectively.

Grammarly extension supports many platforms automatically but works only online. They have a basic free subscription, but if you need more advanced features, their paid subscription will pay off.

Something to think about

The weekly James Clear:

"Patience only works if you do.

Doing the work + patience = results.

Planning to work + patience = you're just waiting."

and Erica Jong:

“Advice is what we ask for when we know the answer but wish we didn't.“
