Weirdo's Weekly Update — 28 Nov, 2022

What are we working on?

The focus is still clear, working on the website's relaunch to improve your experience. At the moment we are improving our service pages.  The whole relaunch will still take some time.

I am researching different Layer 2 scaling solutions for Ethereum. At the moment, I am having a close look at zkSync. Next week I will tell you more about it. Layers 2 scaling solutions are mainly there to make transactions faster, cheaper and have higher throughput. This will open a whole palette of new use cases possible.

Besides that, we are also working on new content pieces around cryptos and preparing the ultimate digital nomad packing list, listing our main services, tools, and belongings that we use as perpetual travelers. We'll share the link with you once published.

Bangkok update

We visited Benjakitti Park in Khlong Toei District during the weekend, just a few minutes from our apartment.

It was so great to sit there in peace. Bangkok is filled with skyscrapers and heavy traffic, but when walking around, you somehow find some park or jungle-like corner where you can fill your battery. However, with the city's growth, the need for greenery will become even more important.

We were excited to hear great news revealed by the City Hall last week. They plan to build over 100 small parks across the city in the next 3 years. The initiative is called 15 Minute Pocket Parks, and they aim to ensure easier access to greenery for all residents. 🌳 🌴

Cryptos

We are in a bear market, but big brands are not stopping to adapt Web3 solutions in a very serious way.

I'm currently listening.

I am listening to Lex Fridman a lot again lately. I really love his long-form interviews, which bring some deacceleration in our fast-paced world. Whenever I am not doing deep-work I am listening.

I am currently watching

Football World Cup in Qatar. ⚽️ We've already seen some great matches and surprises.

Are you watching World Cup? What was your fav moment until now? Just tweet me

Tool of the week

After the recent FTX scandal that has shaken the crypto world, I can't emphasize enough:

sign crypto

One of the safest ways to protect your assets is with a hardware (cold) wallet. This is especially recommended if you hold significant digital assets and are not trading them daily. Our to-go solutions are Ledger and Trezor; both are somehow the industry standard when it comes to hardware wallets.

Ledger and Trezor are not the only providers on the market; we prepared the selection of our to-go hardware wallets in different categories. If you are a crypto hodler, you can check our selection of the bests here.

Besides language learning, part of Maja’s morning routine is also 10-min Yoga practice; she recommends Youtube channel Yoga with Kassandra. With the Morning Yoga Movement playlist, you can join a 30-day challenge where we will practice 10 minutes of yoga daily. 🧘‍

Something to think about

James Clear
"Good choices create opportunities. Good habits make the most of them.”

and

"Consistency before intensity.
Start small and become the kind of person who shows up every day. Build a new identity.
Then increase the intensity."

and

"The world is a very malleable place. If you know what you want, and you go for it with maximum energy and drive and passion, the world will often reconfigure itself around you much more quickly and easily than you would think.” Marc Andreessen
