Weirdo's Last Weekly Update 2022 — 19 Dec, 2022

What were we working on?

Our focus this year was to produce content. While traveling, we are trying to input as much time as possible to grow our site by adding and creating more content around our main focus topics with a small team of three.

Here are some of the milestones:

✍️ we published 41 longer articles, product reviews, and 26 logs. Logs are shorter life updates and thoughts.

📨 we sent out 21 newsletters

🎥 we recorded 3 video courses that will go live in 2023

📧 we wrote a free email course on How to start with Cryptocurrencies

🎯 improved our website and established some important goals for the upcoming years

🔬supporting one of my favorite Crypto Influencers with Research

From August on, I was part of the New World Guardian team, which was a fantastic experience, and I'm looking forward to how the project will develop in the future.

I had some other great collaborations and met many people in the crypto space, for which I'm very grateful and excited to continue this journey the following year.

Traveling Highlights

We started 2022 in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico, and we will finish it in HCMC, Vietnam, where were are currently staying.

In between, we stayed in Miami, visited Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, and Cambodia, and lived longer in Thailand.

We lived in 9 Airbnb apartments and visited 17 bigger cities. We mainly use Airbnb, rarely Booking.com, to book our apartments. Airbnb has better offers and often special discounts on monthly stays. We normally book for a month +.

There are two apps that we use when traveling.

One is Been, where we are logging our country count.

The left column is Maja, and the right shows my visited countries. The race is on, but still, a long way to go. 🙂

The second one is Wanderlog app which we use to build maps for each city we visit. We add good restaurants, recommendations from others, sights we want to see, bars, and anything that could be interesting to visit. It's a great app for planning trips.

Tool of the year

Frase

At the beginning of the year, we entered a challenge where we wrote 500 words before lunch. We added this to our morning routine to help us build a writing habit and feel accomplished in the morning. Frase was the tool that helped us a lot during this time and still is when writing any content.

It is a multipurpose tool that you can use to create content on the fly. It helps you to analyze your content's performance and optimize your site for Google's algorithm. It's the tool that we use daily, and we recommend it to content producers.

It has many great features that help you reach your audience and improve your writing strategy. And they are constantly adding new features.

Current Habits

Maja and I built some great new small habits that improve our morning and help us to be more productive. I kept my language learning streak throughout the year; the same goes for mediation, while Maja had already passed her second year of daily language learning.

As hard to start and develop good habits, it's equally hard or even more challenging to eliminate the bad ones. Since the little bad habits are part of our lives, they often make us feel good. However, starting with good habits and getting rid of bad ones is the same in the end. We need a certain amount of repetition and willpower to do it.

To make it successful, it helps if you have clear and defined goals, why you want to do something, and what you want to achieve with that. And what is a better time to do this than each December of every year? 🗓️

If you don't want to be part of the crowd who decides to be a better version of themselves on the January 1st, and quit this thought around January 7th, then you can click the link here  and subscribe to our free 10-day email course on How to set and achieve any goal. 🎁

We would like to wrap this letter with a lovely quote from Ashley Montagu:

"The goal of life is to die young — as late as possible!"

We wish you a great holiday season and an amazing time with your families and friends. Take your time to reflect on the year, and make some awesome plans for the upcoming one. Think about yourself and what makes you happy, and don't be afraid to reach for it…one small step at a time. 👣

Thank you for being part of our story one way or another!
